Verona 5

Today our goal was to stop in Verona on the way to Venice and find a vineyard. I have figured out that we are just not good with directions and finding out way around Italy (it is actually very confusing!) We did not get to a vineyard, so instead, we wandered around the city of Star-Crossed Lovers. It was a cute little city with lots of high-fashion shops, old beautiful churches and of course, the supposed balcony of Juliet herself. We hopped back onto the train and got in late to Venice.  Andy and I made a good team as we did our first load of laundry in the sink.   I washed and scrubbed then tossed them into the shower as he rinsed and rung, handed them back and I hung them on our makeshift clothesline.  I’m sure it was probably a funny site.  Unfortunately, they are not drying all too quickly and our bathroom floor is sopping wet.   Andy is currently being the human dryer with the hair dryer! Andy chastised me for packing so much but let’s just say I have clean, dry undergarments for today!!!

Well, Sounds like a lot of fun and painful. Better I respond rather than your Mother. However, I reminded her that Andy is an Eagle Scout and I was not worried. You know the motto of and Eagle Scout is “suck it up”. We will anxiously await your next entry. It was fun reading Nathanael some Roman history. He even starting grinning when reading about your adventures.

First, I’m glad and relieved to hear that Tilly is adjusting! Second, your laundry story reminds me of our CZ trip in 08. Gotta give the clothes plenty of time to dry, esp so you don’t have to pack them damp to your next stop! Stay healthy and drink a vino for me!
